Alarms & Sensors
An alarm covers the gap between something happening and somebody noticing. Cameras record; alarms interrupt. Most sites need both, and they are specified together because the sensor that triggers an alert is usually what tells the recorder where to look.
We supply intruder panels, door and window contacts, motion detectors, glass-break sensors, smoke and heat detectors, water leak sensors and panic buttons, wired or wireless.
False alarms are what kill an installation. A system that cries wolf is disarmed within a month and then it is decoration. Motion detectors sited facing sunlit windows, air-conditioning vents or a corridor where a cleaner works at night will do exactly that, so siting is part of the specification rather than something left to the installer on the day.
Water leak sensors deserve a mention because they are cheap and almost never specified. A sensor under a server-room air-conditioning unit or beside a riser costs very little and catches the failure that ruins equipment quietly overnight.
Decide who responds before choosing the panel. A siren, a phone alert to a named person, and a signal to a monitoring company are three different outcomes, and the last requires a contract we do not provide but can specify the hardware for.
